Per Word

Generally, when it comes to more than a couple of pages, translators charge per word, character, line, or page.

The most reliable method is charging per word, and in almost all cases, the word count is based on the source document, i.e., the document that needs to be translated.

In some very rare cases where your documents consist of images and it is difficult to count the words in them, the charge will be based on the word count in the translated file.

However, this should not come as a surprise to you – I will inform you of the applicable charge and its amount.

Certain services involve a significant amount of additional research, preparation, or, indeed, thinking time.

Services charged per hour include:

Transcreation:

This service is what you need when you have a marketing campaign in one language and want to create a brand-new campaign in another language, rather than just a translation. High-quality products deserve high-quality words. Creative content in one language can sound like a cheap translation in another. The solution is to have a professional transcreator—someone who can translate and create new copy in the required language based on the original campaign. This ensures the same message is conveyed using idioms and phraseology that resonate with the target audience.

Revision:

If you already have a translated text but need it checked for errors, fluency, and overall readiness for presentation, the revision service is ideal. The number of hours required for this service depends on the quality of the initial translation.

Making Corrections in Existing Texts:

For minor edits or changes in existing documents

Very Small Projects:

This applies to small jobs that aren't substantial enough to be charged per word. It's also referred to as a minimum fee.

Document Formatting:

In cases where you need tables and charts to be integrated into your translation order or document formatting assistance.

These services, charged per hour, are tailored to your specific needs, ensuring that you receive the best results for your unique requirements.
